Pinstripes

Hi loves!

Every girl needs at least one short skirt she can depend on and I think I found mine this season! You guys know I'm a sucker for stripes, so what could be better than a striped linen skirt!??! The asymmetrical design also caught my attention and the flattering tie at the waist is an added bonus!

To keep this look semi casual, I added my boyfriend's white oversized t-shirt and layered gold vintage necklaces. I'm obsessed with the whole layering metallic-religious-pendant necklaces trend. So 90's! I've found most of my pieces from thrift stores and Etsy. The one's I've found so far are real gold and for a fraction of the cost that these other online stores are charging for their faux metal necklaces. Guys, always always go vintage! They really don't make quality stuff like they used to.

Also, love love love my new Cult Gaia clutch!! I had been eyeing it for weeks and I'm so glad I jumped on it when I did because it seems to be sold out everywhere now! That's crazy! But I totally get why. It's the perfect summer bag that pairs well with everything, from denim shorts to linen dresses. I promise you'll be seeing more of it in upcoming posts!

Have fun this weekend loves!! I'm off to Disney World! Too excited!!

Is It Summer Yet?

Hot days call for an ice cold drink... or this top.

Hot days call for an ice cold drink... and a semi sheer, bell sleeve top.

Hi loves!!

It's time to transition your wardrobe from spring's soft layering to summer's lightweight fabrics and this outfit embodies just that!

I've been so into late 90's early 2000's fashion. I definitely pulled inspiration from those eras when putting together this look. I incorporated a little layering with a delicate lace piece. I love the intricate striped design along with a flattering bell sleeve. It was airy enough to let my skin breath in this humidity while also covering me up a little since I'm already showing a lot of skin everywhere else. I added a black lace bralette and a suede cabby hat to complete the look.

Also...

A quick update on my life! I finally graduated from college!! Ughh, BEST FEELING EVER!! It feels so good to accomplish something you've spent years persevering for. I'm excited to have more free time to work on the blog and some other projects in the making; stay tuned!

I also chopped off my hair! It was actually a couple of hours after I took these photos. No regrets, I promise!

Xoxo

Hi loves!

Gosh, I've been so busy lately... but I will admit that being busy doesn't always translate into being productive. Because this is my final semester in college, I am constantly struggling between being studious and disciplined while also trying to live it up and have as much fun as I can! It's like high-school senoritis all over again! Nonetheless, I want all of you to know that I am constantly thinking about my blog and I know I should be giving my readers the great consistent content that they deserve! Even though I have slacked a little these past couple of weeks, just know that I am NEVER going to stop posting, ever! Like all hobbies, one minute you're super obsessed and feeling all kinds of inspiration and pumping content out left and right... and then that kinda fades and you redirect your focus on something else temporarily until you find inspiration again and jump back into it like you never stopped. Some weird form of A.D.D. that I am aware of and definitely working on... haha

Any who, enough of me justifying my bad habits... let's chat about what you really came here for, this look! The perfect embroidered top with the perfect amount of cleavage with the perfectly delicate peak-a-boo bralette. Those perfect Zara velvet booties in the perfect shade of dusty pink. And those perfect vintage Levis that have been on rotation for months! Oh, this look is truly my idea of perfection!

Individually, each piece is super trendy and it's kinda risky throwing them all together into one look because it could have easily looked too cultivated and you know me, I am all about effortless vibes. So the key to this outfit being a success was to keep accessories to a bare minimum, which in this case, the vintage western belt was plenty. (My signature Celine sunnies were a given!) Also, I unbuttoned a couple more buttons to give an even more relaxed vibe. I could have also rolled up the sleeves or thrown my hair into a messy bun... just a couple easy tricks on how to make any look from potentially looking too put together to not thinking twice about it.

Oh, before I go, Happy Valentine's Day lovers & friends! All my single ladies, please don't waste an entire 24 hours being bitter about your solitary state. OWN IT! Because regardless of your status, the most important relationship you will ever be in is with yourself! Just know that you are soooo loved! Xoxox
