Daytime in Sequin

By now you should be well aware of my love affair with vintage. The feeling I get when I find a one-of-a-kind must-have piece in a sea of abandoned treasures is more fulfilling than a trip to the mall. Anyone can shop at Forever 21 and buy the latest trendy top and be stylin'. No big deal. But whats really going to set you apart from a crowd of lemmings can be as simple as your mother's cocktail ring, a beaded clutch from the 70's, or even a sequin blouse from 1985.

The beaded detailing on this blouse is amazing! I could not believe how well the stitching had held up over the years! Not to mention how vibrant and bold these colors are. It kind of reminds me of peacock feathers.

Sequin can very easily be too costume or holiday like if not paired correctly. I made it day time appropriate by throwing on my new favorite pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. The light wash makes them extra casual and the tares add a cool girl element to the overall look.

I've always wanted a pair of sapphire pumps ever since Carrie Bradshaw wed Mr. Big in her blue Manolo Blahnik's. Unfortunately, $900 is a bit unrealistic for my budget. Thankfully Zara came out with these classic babies. The unique asymmetrical detailing really caught my eye. Heels like this pair are so effortless and timeless; worth every penny! Xo.
