My cousin and I grabbed lunch the other day at Decatur's Java Monkey. Initially, we just planned on nibbling on paninis while catching up and conversing over future projects and plans. But the more we looked around, we realized what a perfect photo opp the cafe was. Such character this cafe had! The rustic paint job and antique patio deco made a perfect back splash to my outfit.
If you haven't noticed, palm leaves and martinique prints are on fire this season and I'm consumed! My phone-case, shorts, tops, bikinis; I've got them all in this timeless print. You wonder why I am so loyal to Zara? I mean look at this dress! The juxtaposition of the stripes and leaves took the average t-shirt dress and gave it a subtle edge. Although I wore strappy sandals on this particular day, I've also worn this dress with Birkenstocks and I actually fell in love with the look even more. I might even pair this dress next with my Converse. I love finding statement pieces that are so versatile; it's a very rare find.
I cannot wait to brunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel during my trip home in a few weeks. The hotel is famously decored in martinique printed wallpaper. So glamorous and swanky! (You know you want to Google it lol) I just might seize the opportunity for another post; stay tuned! Xo
