Red

Hi loves!

I was shopping at Zara the other day when I came across this cute mini number. Now I know what you're thinking... sounds a little like this "hit me baby one more time!" haha. Okay, yes the skirt has a bit of a Britney throwback air to it, but like I said before, patent leather is having a huge comeback right now! It's everywhere, embrace it!

I like the funky eclectic look of this outfit. I just don't want to play it safe anymore when it comes to my style. I sometimes hold back because I live in a city where people don't take many fashion risks and it subjects you to unwanted criticism. But that's irrelevant now. I've realized that in order for me to be happy and genuine, I have to stop limiting myself in accordance to what everyone else deems as normal. F*** normal. Your normal and my normal are highly subjective. Maybe that's why I love escaping to bigger cities so much. People are given more freedom to be themselves and appreciate one another's differences.

Anyways, moral of the story is, wear whatever your heart desires. Think back to those innocent days of playing dress up as a kid, where you mismatched socks and layered a tutu over your overalls. At that moment, whether you realized it or not, you were being your purest self and dressing according to what you wanted to wear, without doubting whether or not the world would judge you for it. Yeah, your personal style might not be everyone's cup of tea, but that's what makes it personal to begin with. I mean, do you think Rihanna wakes up every morning wondering if her risky outfit is going to please the masses? I highly doubt it, and that's why she is a badass.

Own yourself and own your looks! Confidence is key! Xoxox
